Bulletin

April 4, 2010

* We are going to start Sunday service every week with a new person to open up the service. If you are coming to service, we would like to encourage you to be on time so you can be there right from the beginning to hear the opening of the service as well as participate in the praise and worship. Sometimes people coming in late during or after the praise and worship can be distracting, so we would like to encourage everyone to be on time and be with us right from the beginning for what is an important part of the service.

* There will be a meeting right after service next Sunday, April 11, 2010 for all those that plan to go to the South Dakota Indian Reservation next July. If you plan to go, the meeting is required, so please plan on attending.

* If you need a ride to Peacemakers on Sunday, you can call the Jesus House at 1-313-989-3258 and let them know you need a ride. We ask that you call at least 24 hours in advance. This notification is necessary as we need to avoid last minute pick ups. Also pick up is available in the immediate Detroit Metro area only.

* Eggs are still on sale for $2.00 per dozen. Come and get fresh Chene street eggs laid by our very own chickens.

* If you are still considering working in the gardens this summer, please see Shirley Robinson regarding this as soon as you can. Shirley needs to have an idea within the next week or two the amount of labor that is going to be available to work the gardens so she can plan out the seeding and planting of the gardens.

*  Eggs are now on sale for $2.00 per dozen!  Come and get fresh Chene street eggs laid by our very own chickens.  No middle men or grocery chains, straight from the chickens to your frying pan!

*  Now that Spring is right around the corner, for those of you who wish to work in the gardens this summer, please start thinking about this now.  We can always use a good many laborers and truly the gardens can only be planted with the amount of labor we have available.  If you are interested in this important ministry, please see either Shirley Robinson to speak to her about the amount of time you can schedule either during the week or on weekends if possible. May God bless your consideration of this.

* Anyone who is serious about coming out to the Indian Reservation in South Dakota with the Peacemakers team and needs to raise funds to do so, can get a fundraising letter to assist them from Jeremiah. Please see Antonio for a copy of this letter.

* We would like to ask all the congregation to save your good grocery bags (with handles on them, plastic or paper).  The food outreach has increased and we are going through bags very quickly.  No special trip is needed, you can bring them down with you when you come to any of the services.

* If anyone has gotten a new job and has a problem with transportation getting to that job, Antonio has a connection for bus tickets to help out until your first paycheck is obtained.  You will need proof of the new job on your new job or company letterhead.  Bring that to Antonio, and he will do what he can to get you the bus tickets until you are in a place that you can start paying for your transportation on your own. Our thank you and God Bless to Antonio for his willingness to help.

* After service today, we are going to have a mandatory meeting for all those interested in going to the Indian Reservations with us this summer. Please remain after service if you are serious about this outreach.

* We continue to do well at Joseph’s Storehouse and are thankful to the Lord for His provision.  We need any used items that are in good condition for resale.  If you have anything to donate, it would be very helpful if you would be able to bring it in yourself to the Resale shop as our ability to pick up items is limited at this time.  Please see Jeremiah for directions to the Store. However, if you are unable to bring it in, you can also speak to him about pick up.
