The Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) is a warming shelter, which is a heated environment that an individual can reside in if they have no place to live.
In the winter up to 170 people may rely upon the NSO for the services they provide. When Peacemakers go to the NSO we bring enough cooked food to feed all who are present.
We bring spiritual food as well, we share with them the love and gospel of Jesus Christ. We inform the people at the NSO of our discipleship training programs, the Jesus/Mercy House.
We regularly receive new members to our organization through this avenue. We have met some wonderful people at the NSO, some individuals from this facility have been successful in our program and have joined our staff.
This is an event that we have been participating in for approximately 5 years, it is a time that we enjoy.
