History

In the fall of 1994, God spoke to my heart about going back to the streets of Detroit. The same streets that He, in 1974, set me free from, the streets of sin, crime, drugs, despair, and hopelessness. He spoke to my heart to begin a work, which would include the whole body of Christ, working together side by side to reach the broken, worn-out, destitute, and poor people that this world has forgotten, but that God truly loves and cares for.

In obedience to this call, in the winter of 1994, a handful of dedicated Christians and myself rolled up our sleeves, amidst the broken glass, dust and ashes, and we began to walk out the vision that God had placed in our hearts. Since that humble beginning, much has been accomplished.

Land and buildings have been purchased, and are in the process of being renovated. The vision has come alive. Many lives have been changed, and God is truly being glorified in one of Satan's former strongholds.

We invite you to prayerfully consider becoming a partner in this end time harvest of souls. By working together we can reach the lost, forsaken, drug addicted, and sin wracked people for whom Christ died. Many precious souls lie in this vast inner city wasteland, waiting to be rescued by the blood of Jesus Christ and be rescued from Satan's captivity.
We greatly anticipate the soon return of Jesus. Together, with the power of the Holy Spirit, these broken lives will be changed for the glory of God and the kingdom of His Son, Jesus Christ. This is the fishing pond God has chosen for us. The people are hungry, biting, and responding to the love of Jesus Christ.

Feel free to contact us should God place it on your heart to get involved on any level. Financially, by sowing into this ground for the ongoing development of this inner city missionary work. Physically, using your talents, skills, and labor to help work out the vision. Congregations may join with us on workdays, and watch the work of their hands being blessed, and the work of God increase. Prayerfully, we covet a continued blanket of intercession, as the powers of darkness are extremely nervous at our forwardness in this area.

Whatever degree you get involved, you will be a blessing. You may also want to be a part of one of our many outreaches, that we schedule for the community. These times are great, full of excitement and anticipation, as we physically feed, minister to, and also watch God move to encourage and save the less fortunate in this life. God is good. We're seeing results. People's lives are being changed for the glory of God!
